H.E. Mridul Kumar - Ambassador of India to Switzerland.
Mridul Kumar, a career diplomat of 1992 batch of the Indian Foreign Service, has been the Ambassador of India to Switzerland since June 19, 2023. Previously, he served as Additional Secretary for European Affairs in the Ministry of External Affairs. Prior to that, he was India's High Commissioner to Malaysia from February 2018 to July 2021 and Consul General in Cape Town, South Africa from June 2009 to June 2012. He speaks Hindi, English and Arabic. His hobbies include trekking (in 2009 he led a pilgrimage group to Kailash-Mansarovar Yatra), cricket, painting, cooking and music.

Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha (IND) - Guest of Honor

Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India
Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha MD (Ayu) is the Secretary for AYUSH, Government of India. Previously, he was the Vice Chancellor (President) of the prestigious Gujarat Ayurved University in Jamnagar. He is the founder of the Chakrapani Ayurveda clinic and product line in Jaipur. He has received several awards for his work, including the Padmashri Award, the fourth highest civilian award in India.

Prof. Dr. Tanuja Nesari (IND) - Guest of Honor

Director, All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA)
Prof. Dr. Tanuja Nesari, BAMS, MD (Ayu), PhD (Ayu) Director, All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA). She is the Chair for the Health Sector sub-skill Council for AYUSH and a member of Governing Council of IMS, BHU. Dr. Nesari is also a member of the General Assembly of ICCR, a Member of the Board of Governors, CCIM and serves on the academic board of various universities like ITRA, Jamnagar & National Academic and Research Bodies.
She serves as a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of CCRAS and domain expert of the Technical Screening Committee (TSC) of NMPB. Her influential leadership has brought more than 20 MOUs into the credit of AIIA. She played a key role in converting AIIA Hospital, New Delhi into COVID Healthcare Centre, where the patients are being provided holistic Ayurveda treatment.

Hans H. Rhyner (CH) - Guest of honor

Practitioner of alternative medicine
Hans Heinrich Rhyner, MD, PhD (Alternative Medicine), Dipl. NHP Ayurveda Medicine, is a recognized expert and pioneer of Ayurvedic medicine in Europe. He lived in India for 25 years and ran his own clinic in Bangalore. He looks back on 40 years of clinical experience and is the author of textbooks on Ayurveda. He applies his knowledge in his Swiss practice in Teufen, in Munich, Vienna and on Mallorca as well as in his manufacture of Ayurveda products in Austria.

Stephanie Albert (CH)

Ayurvedic nutrition therapist, masseuse and cook
Stephanie Albert leads Ayurvedic cooking courses as well as the training as an Ayurvedic cook at the European Academy for Ayurveda in Zurich. She also teaches as part of the nutritionist training in Zurich and Lucerne. She herself has completed Ayurveda training in Switzerland, Germany and India. The integration of Ayurveda into western health systems is particularly close to her heart.

Sabine Anliker (CH)

Swiss certified naturopath
Sabine Anliker is a naturopath with a federal diploma in Ayurvedic Medicine and Traditional European Naturopathy and also holds a Master of Science degree in Ayurvedic Medicine. She has also completed training as a naturopath for classical naturopathy and homeopathy. She runs her own practice in Lucerne and is President of the Swiss Ayurveda Medicine Association (AMVS) and Vice President of the Ayurveda Medicine Support Organization.

Dr. med. Sophie Beall (CH)

Sophie Beall, MD, is a pioneer: a former internist at the University Hospital of Toulouse in France, she has been practicing Ayurveda and modern medicine for more than 35 years. She has seen thousands of patients with chronic illnesses in consultation with highly qualified Vaidyas from India, including Astha Vaidya E.T Divakaran Moos, who represents one of the great Ayurvedic families in Kerala.
She specializes in Panchakarma and pulse diagnosis and teaches Ayurveda to European doctors and naturopaths.
In 2003, she became medical director of the Maharishi Ayurveda Health Center in Seelisberg above Lake Lucerne. Since then, she and her team have been offering consultations and Panchakarma to a growing number of patients looking for Ayurvedic health solutions. When Ayurveda medicine gained official professional status in Switzerland, she obtained her federal diploma and recently became an Ayurveda mentor to help newly trained practitioners complete their experience.

Oliver Becker (D)

Oliver Becker has been practicing Ayurvedic medicine in his own practice for many years. At the European Academy of Ayurveda, he works as a lecturer, module leader, educational coach and interpreter in the Ayurvedic Medicine course. In addition, he teaches in various other training courses of the Academy. His professional focus as a lecturer includes pharmacology and internal medicine of Ayurveda. In addition to Ayurvedic medicine, he has profound knowledge of yoga, Vedic knowledge systems and Sanskrit.

Dr. Ananda Chopra (D)

Ananda Samir Chopra, MD, studied medicine and Indology at the University of Heidelberg. After his license to practice medicine, he spent one year in Kolkata, India, studying Ayurveda. Since 1996 leading physician of the Ayurveda Clinic Kassel. 2009 to 2011 scientific assistant in a research project on the modern history of Ayurveda at the University of Heidelberg. Furthermore, he is the 1st chairman of DÄGAM e.V. (German Medical Society for Ayurveda Medicine). In addition to his clinical activities, Dr. Chopra continues to be scientifically active in the history of medicine. Since his childhood he has been learning and practicing Indian classical music (Hindustani Sangit).

Dr. Prasanth Dharmarajan (IND)

Dr. Prasanth Dharmarajan PhD comes from a family of Ayurvedic doctors in Kerala and was one of the first employees of the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), the top institute of the AYUSH Ministry of the Indian government. In 2015, he was appointed advisor and assistant professor for Panchakarma. He built up and developed the Panchakarma Department, which now treats hundreds of patients per day. He created the first national standards for training panchakarma therapists in India and trained the Institute's postgraduate students and therapists. Zuvor he worked in the Department of Panchakarma and Integrative Medical Studies at the Mata Amritanandamayi Math and its Ayurvedic School of Kerala. There he led and taught educational programs for international students, including Western doctors and medical personnel.

Dr. Parvathy Devi (IND)

Dr. Parvathy Devi MD (Ayu) is the leading Ayurvedic psychiatrist and psychotherapist in India.
For the last 25 years, she has been the Chief Physician and Superintendent of the prestigious Govt. Ayurveda Research Institute for Mental Health in Kottakkal, Kerala. In important publications, seminars and invitations to the most important national and international Ayurveda congresses, she shares her special wealth of experience in the treatment of depression, bipolar disorders, psychoses and other mental illnesses with the professional world. She is a member of the State Mental Health Authority, Kerala.
Her holistic approach to therapy demonstrates the amazing possibilities of Ayurvedic treatment based on the far-reaching recommendations of traditional Ayurveda in an area of health disorders that is becoming increasingly important today.
She works as the state coordinator for the project "Manasika" in 14 districts and "Harsham - Depression Clinics" in 6 districts of Kerala under the Department of Indian Systems of Medicine and the National Ayush Mission.
She launched the project "Anavadya" for the treatment of mental health problems in transgender persons and initiated important steps for "Medha" - a school health program for the academically retarded, "Sudheeram" - for the therapeutic management of test anxiety in selected schools, "Solace" - for the holistic management of occupational stress, "Susmritam" - for the management of mild cognitive impairment and "Kusrti" - for the management of ADHD.
Her special commitment lies in the opening of a pediatric psychiatric department in her hospital.

Uwe Gramminger (D)

Uwe Gramminger worked for 25 years as a business economist and later as CEO in the global textile and fashion industry before founding the sustainable management consultancy Carpe Diem Consilium, which is aimed exclusively at owner-managed SMEs. In 2017, he joined the family business euroved as Managing Director, which has been successfully importing, manufacturing and distributing Ayurveda products for many years. Uwe Gramminger is a member of the executive committee of the Ayurveda Dachverband Deutschland, ADAVED e.V. and head of the associated Ayurveda product specialist group IUI (In-Verkehr-Bringer und Importeure).

Prof. Dr. Shivenarain Gupta (IND)

Prof. Shivenarain Gupta MD (Ayu) is a physician and professor of Ayurvedic medicine from Nadiad (India). He earned his doctorate degree from the famous Ayurveda University of Jamnagar. Today he heads the Department of Internal Medicine at the P. D. Patel Ayurveda Hospital. As a professor of the affiliated J. S. Ayurveda College, he has succeeded in establishing one of the most prestigious pancakarma clinics in India, where patients from India and Europe receive help. He was awarded by IASTAM (India) for his achievements in teaching and appointed as Vice Chancellor, Maganbhai Adenwala Mahagujarat University in 2022. At the European Academy of Ayurveda, he has been one of the key teachers and academic head of training in Ayurvedic Medicine for many years.

Dr. med. Christian Kessler (D)

Priv.-Doz. Dr. med. Christian S. Keßler, MA, MSc (Ayur. Medicine - Middlesex) is senior physician and research coordinator at Immanuel Hospital Berlin and is scientifically active at Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin with a focus on Ayurveda. He has led and published various studies on Ayurveda in recent years. His master's degree in Indology enables him to explore Ayurveda comprehensively and in its academic depth. Christian Kessler is Chairman of the Board of the German Medical Association for Ayurveda DÄGAM and a member of the Executive Committee of the Ayurveda Dachverband Deutschland, ADAVED e.V.

Dr. Andrea Küthe-Albrecht (CH)

Dr. Andrea Küthe-Albrecht is an expert in indigenous medicinal plants and Ayurvedic phytotherapy. As a biologist with a doctorate, meditation teacher and Ayurvedic nutritional therapist, she combines her scientific knowledge with the traditional Indian art of healing. In doing so, she addresses the need of many people for scientific explanations without neglecting the holistic approach of Ayurveda. In 2017, Andrea Küthe Albrecht founded the Freya School of Medicinal Plants in the canton of Fribourg.

Monika Lichtsteiner (CH)

Monika Lichtsteiner is a complementary therapist with a federal diploma in Ayurveda therapy.
As an experienced therapist, Monika Lichtensteiner works as a mentor for the REAA/HPS Lucerne and as a supervisor for the OdA KT, both of which are subsidized by the SBFI. The integration of the two federal professions of complementary therapist and naturopath in the Swiss healthcare system is of particular concern to her. As co-president of the VSAMT (Association for Swiss Ayurveda Medicine and Therapy) and as a board member of the Ayurveda Medicine Support Organization, she is actively involved in the professional development and quality assurance of these still young, federally regulated professions. She has been running her own practice in Windisch since 2007.

Prof. Dr. Martin Mittwede (D)

Prof. Dr. Martin Mittwede is head of the Master of Science in Ayurveda Medicine at the European Academy of Ayurveda. The indologist and religious scholar habilitated already in 1996 with a research project on Ayurveda and has many years of experience in further medical training. He also teaches at the University of Frankfurt/Main and has published numerous works on Ayurveda medicine.

Institute Ashtavaidyan Thaikat Mooss',Thrissur). He has been Director of the Ayurvedic Point, Milan, for many years and is President of the Scientific Society for Ayurvedic Medicine Italy (SSIMA). In 2017 he was awarded the prestigious IASTAM ZANDU Award for Research in  Ayurveda. In 2019 he received the ECIM Award for the best clinical publication as co-author.

Dr. med. Kalyani Nagersheth (D)

Dr. med. Kalyani Nagersheth has been working as an Ayurveda doctor since 2000 and was head of the Ayurveda department at the Habichtswald-Klinik, Kassel. Today she runs her own practice for Ayurveda medicine in Frankfurt. She also takes over the medical supervision of Panchakarma cures at the Rosenberg Ayurveda Health and Spa Centre. One of her specialties is Western and Ayurvedic Phythotherapy. She is a book author and has many years of experience as a lecturer in Ayurvedic medicine.

Mr. Shri Puranik is the Director of the Shree Dhootapapeshwar Research Foundation. He is also the President of Ayurveda Prasarak Mandal, a 60 year old Ayurveda college and hospital. He is a member of the Advisory Committee of the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. For years he has been a strong advocate for better recognition and acceptance of traditional medicine and especially the classical syntax as represented in Ayurveda. As a trustee of the All India Ayurveda Congress and the World Ayurveda Foundation, he is actively involved in all matters relating to Ayurveda. He is a board member of the National Medicinal Plants Board, a founder member of the AYUSH Export Promotion Council and the Ayurvedic Drug Manufacturers Association.
With his company, he pursues a simple goal: "To provide effective medicines of the highest quality, standardize the formulations to the satisfaction of Ayurveda vaidyas, manufacture them on an industrial scale and distribute them. Moreover, there should be no room for defects."

Dr. Ram Manohar MD (Ayu) is a doctor of Ayurvedic medicine and pharmacologist. He is currently working as Director of Research at Amrita Centre for Advanced Research in Ayurveda, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University, Kollam, Kerala. He also serves as a research consultant for the National Institute of Ayurveda and for History of Science at the Indian National Science Academy. He is an expert member of the World Health Organization Committee for International Standardization of Ayurvedic Terminologies. He has worked in the Kerala State Government Task Force on AYUSH response to COVID-19 and is a member of the Interdisciplinary Research and Development Working Group on COVID-19 at the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. He is particularly interested in psychology and spirituality from an Ayurvedic perspective.

Dr. Ricardo Rangel graduated as a specialist in endociniology from the University of Porto, Institute of Biomedical Sciences in 2005. In addition to his focus on "glands and hormones", his therapeutic work also focuses on nutrition and women's health, in which he also integrates Ayurvedic medicine, which he studied over several years.
Ricardo Rangel works at the ATHA Clinic for Functional Medicine in Lisbon and at the Prive practice in Porto, among others.

Win Silvester MA holds a master's degree in health management and heads the Q-Fitness Academy in Bonn. He completed a three-year study of Ayurveda medicine, supplemented by study visits to India and Sri Lanka. He also teaches the South Indian martial art Kalaripayattu, in which movement, meditation and massage come together. With his many years of training and course-leading experience, he enriches the Ayurveda Academy as a translator and specialist lecturer.

As a doctor, Oliver Werner has been involved with Ayurveda since 1980. Around 1987 he founded the Maharishi Ayurveda Health Center Seelisberg in Switzerland. He is President of the Swiss Association for Maharishi Ayurveda and Director of Maharishi Ayurveda Products Europe BV, Netherlands. Oliver Werner is a founding member of the supporting organization for Ayurveda in Switzerland and of the board of the Swiss Medical Association for Ayurveda. For many years, Oliver Werner represented the interests of the Ayurveda community within the OdA AM.
