Sleep disorders represent a serious problem of our time. A quarter of Germans suffer at least temporarily and up to 10 % from regular severe sleep disorders. This not only reduces our daily well-being, but also limits our performance and can have serious health consequences.

In Ayurveda, sleep is considered one of the pillars that maintain a healthy life, along with our diet and lifestyle. The right place, the right time, but also the individual quantity as well as quality of sleep are crucial.

The lecture gives an overview of the modern sleep physiological findings and summarizes the role of sleep in Ayurveda. Furthermore, he wants to show how Ayurveda can strengthen a healthy work-life-sleep balance and increase our well-being.
