Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mahesh S. Desai (LX)

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mahesh S. Desai (MSc PhD) is a specialist in gut microbiome in the state of health and disease. He is currently conducting research as a group leader at the Luxembourg Institute of Health, Department of Infection and Immunity. Since 2018, he is also an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Southern Denmark, Odense. Previously, he has been involved in numerous university research projects in Germany, Japan and the USA and has received several awards for his work. He established his professional career with studies at the University of Pune, India, and at the International Max Planck Research School (Marburg), Germany. Dr. Desai is a sought-after speaker at international conferences and has extensive teaching experience.
