» Clinical experience in the complementary ayurvedic treatment of Covid-19 patients

In next four months the world will complete two years of painful experience of SARS COV-2. the coronavirus is still raging and plundering the already fragile healthcare systems. The only thing that has changed in the last year and a half is the appearance of virus. Alpha, beta, Delta, Kappa and Delta plus. Covid-19 vaccines are effective against serious illness, but researchers are increasingly concerned about breakthrough infections driven by Delta variant of SARS-Cov-2. The current medical system is trying its best to prevent and treat Covid, but there is no sure shot cure of it as of now. While the conventional therapy emphasizes on virus, Ayurveda focuses on strengthening the host. various modifiable factors have been enlisted in Ayurveda that influence the host defense responses.

4437 patients of Mild/Moderate cases of NCOVID-19 were treated till date at S.V.P.(Sardar Vallabh bhai Patel Institute of Medical Sciences and Research) hospital- a 900 beded Dedicated Covid Hospital(DCH) with AYURVEDA medicines which included Samsamni vati, Dashmula kwath, Pathyadi Kwath and Yashtimadhu ghanvati along with standard allopathy protocol with a recovery rate of more than 95%.

700 mild/moderate patients through telemedicine and these patients had approached Ayurveda form the very first day of diagnosis. Conventional care included Vitamin C, Zinc, Azythromycin and Paracetamol. Different Ayurveda formulations including Ras-aushadhis were selected as per the daily reports and general condition of the patients. They were given Shatyadi kwath, Dwatridashang kwath, Bharangyadi kwath, Hemgarbh potli ras, Shwaskas chintamani ras, Shwas kuthar ras, Maha lakshmi vilas ras, Suvarna vasanta malti ras, Sudarshan ghanvati, Tribhuvankirti ras were administered as per their clinical presentations and medicines and not a single case out of these 700 cases succumbed and all recovered well.

Not a single one of the 700 cases succumbed to the ailment, all recovered well.
