Prof. Brahmananda Mahapatra, is one of the top-class experts in the field of Ayurvedic education and research. He is currently Chairman of the Ayurveda Chair at the University of Latvia, Riga, represented by the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. He has been working professionally in the field of Ayurvedic education and research for 35 years. He received the prestigious "Scientist of the Year Award 2006" of the National Environmental Science Academy (NESA), New Delhi, the "Eminent Educationist Award-2011" of the National & International Compendium (NIC), New Delhi, and the "Bharat Vidya Siromani Award-2011" of the Indian Solidarity Council (ISC), New Delhi.
